The Hike At Cohutta Panther Creek Trail



The beautiful, scenic island of Oahu is home to many spectacular lookout points. When you begin your journey it is a paved trail to The Three Sisters , where you can walk down and get up close to the legendary monument. A medium grade walk would be the track down Leura Cascades and into the valley to base of Bridal Veil Falls. Abseiling (combined with canyoning if you can!) is one of the best ways to experience the immensity of the Blue Mountains.

But it's all worth it, because it's one of the most beautiful walks in the Blue Mountains. On Cliff Drive, about 120m from Katoomba Falls Road), this walk follows the ‘Cliff View Lookout 10 mins' sign gently uphill 1 along the stenciled concrete path (with handrails on the right) for about 60m.

This walkway spans 2.4 kilometres around lush rainforest to the Jamison Valley floor with various walking path options. Over 800 stairs that are carved Hiking from the mountain descend 1,000 vertical feet, where numerous hiking trails weave their way along the forested valley floor.

One of the loveliest short walks in the Blue Mountains, Leura Cascades Track takes you down to several spectacular lookouts, intersecting with other hiking trails. They offer great views of the Grose Valley, looking over towards the cliffs near Blackheath. The walking today is relatively easy, whilst taking in some of the highlights of the area.

Eagle Hawk Lookout: Also in Katoomba on the other side of Scenic World, this lookout is a good alternative to Echo point. This local treasure located in the small Blue Mountains town of Linden is a tranquil haven in the middle of bush-land. The panoramic views of the Blue Gum forest are stunning, but the real wonder of this viewpoint is the lookout itself.
